The purpose of this lesson is to give the children various opportunities to construct knowledge about letters; both upper and lower case and their associated sounds. For the students that are past that level, we have the process of phoneme and all students will opportunities to work on their fine motor skills in the writing process. There are also various opportunities for beginner rhyming as well as established and advanced rhymers.
The standards that are addressed in this lesson are ;

This is a teaching tool I plan to use as part of my lesson plan. The pictures in the power point will be aligned to card with the appropriate words on them. The students will match the words to the pictures, as well as the pictures that rhyme.
